Ok, this dream is the kind where one minute you're in the modern world and the next you're in another place, in this case Medieval Poland. Not much of it flows, and there are parts I remember that aren't crucial to the real message of the dream. So here it goes:
[Modern times] I was at a party with my husband and his family, and I remember being very mad at he and his sister for some reason. I then heard on the proverbial grapevine that he had fornicated with his sister, which, ew gross (sorry Crystal). Now, sleeping with your sister is socially unacceptable in modern times, but flash backward...
[Medieval Poland]...and it is a crime punishable by death. Now, his sister had a chance to save his life but in order to do so, she would essentially have to paint a scarlet "A" on her forehead and be shunned from the city as a little harlot. She did not want to do that, so my husband had to die. He and I had somehow gotten separated so I was scouring the city with...
[Modern times]...my two sons. We are fighting all sorts of obstacles and climbing modern day water towers to figure out where their father is about to be executed. They are small and slowing me down, but we press on...
[Medieval times]...I finally arrive in the shit hole my husband is about to executed in. This is not factual, but according to my dream, the punishment for incest is to be hacked away at with axes. I, of course, couldn't watch this happen to my one and only, so I leave the room. But before I do, I whisper into my sister-in-law's ear menacingly, "You are the reason my children will grow up without their father" [and scene]. I walk to my mother-in-law's shanty and she's cleaning (sidenote: not sure what happened to my sons at this point). She finds testimony that
indicates it was indeed not her son that had sex with her daughter but rather a mischievous neighbor boy. This exonerates her son, but alas, like any true tragedy her beloved child is already sailing away to pay the piper. I see her, and for whatever reason (and no, I did not make this up)...
[Modern times] I ask her if she remembers where I parked my 2002 Dodge Neon.
Look people, I can't make this up. It is far fetched, but imagine how I feel when I wake up. Also, they all aren't this morbid, so have no fear at staying tuned!!
